Hello '97 Livingston Lightning!
Excited to announce we will train at Puckmasters (Wixom) for the first 4 Mondays in August. Professional instruction in hockey related excercises.
The D&M Coffee fundraiser will run from August 1st until September 1st. Cost is $8 per bag. Any checks should be made out to the '97 Lightning. Please bring your orders and cash/checks to practice on September 1st. Distribution will be approximately September 15th.
We will play in the Hoosier Cup, Oct 8-11 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Please support Deb Moynihan who has volunteered to help with accomodations.
Our Second tournament will be the Motown Cup, Jan 15-17 at Southgate (not overnight). Last year we enjoyed a Triple OT Shootout vs Atlanta, GA
Congradulations Lightning on a fine 2009 - 2010 season!
After jumping to the Howe division, the boys worked hard and responded with 4 tournament Championship appearances in the winter season. The Atlanta GA - triple OT shootout final was awesome, and the season ending win at the Pepsi Challenge vs USA was really sweet after the 2-1 triple OT shootout loss to them in the LCAHL Quarter-Finals. Great job advancing to District Playoff round 2 for the second straight year.
The '97 Lightning tournament streak stands at 8 straight tournament championship appearances, and 10 of the last 11 dating back to 2006.
